Default 46RH Transmission problems advice needed

So out of the blue the transmission in my 95 started slipping. It was performing great and then went to leave a green light and nothing, no gears, no noise, no warnings. I know for a fact that the pump is still pumping strong, contrary to what i was told the other day. It has a new torque converter that i put in it less than 1200 miles ago. I also changed all the fluid and filter when i did the torque converter. It whines pretty bad when in nuetral but only in neutral. Wont go into any gears not even reverse. The only 2 things that come to mind with these symptons is that the TC bit the dust or i broke the sprag unit. Anyone else have any ideas or inputs? things i should check or try before pulling the tranny this weekend and taking it to my tranny guy at work? Assuming that I dont have to buy alot of parts for it then it will cost me $400 to have it torn down, inspected, cleaned, and reassembled. But if there is something else i can try without spending that $400 then im open to any ideas. I may even pull the TC out and take it back to oriellys and exchange it for another one since its under warranty and give that a try.

If the torque converter grenaded, it will have scattered shrapnel throughout the trans, and changing it will buy you at most, a couple days.... if it even works at all. Best bet is to drop the pan, and see what you find. Take it from there.

I dont beleive it "grenaded" cause it made no noise and it was at idle.ill drop the pan before pulling the transmission though and we will see whats in there. Is there any solenoid or sensor that could cause these symptoms?

Nope, yours is purely mechanical. Only electronic controls are for TCC, and O/D shift.

man o man i about forgot yes its a cut & past sorry. __________________
after you clean the trans. add this to your*chrysler*trans. an external fluid filter
1. go to auto-zone. get 2210, its called a power steering filter, but it is for transs to. it is for 3/8 tubing. by (magna-fine) be sure to use high pressure hose. Reff:http://www.magnafilter.com.au/magna-fine.html*
2. for other sizes wix 58964 5/16 tube size reff:http://www.wixfilters.com/filterlook...sionfilter.asp
i think your chrysler trans tubing is 3/8. with an external filter should mean fewer inside filter changes.

Thanks for the advice, but nothing new to me. Im runnin an external on my 01 and I dont think that would have made a bit of difference for this transmission.
