Standard adjustment. Shift kit basically consists of spools and springs for valve body.

so another question i have is when i put the trans in i drove it around for a while and then did a service on it and adjusted the bands on it like the manual said and then after the it didnt shift as harsh as it did before more like a new plain factory one.... is that something i did with the adjustment? and how often should line pressure be adjusted, and does it have have any benefits or negatives if its moved around?

If you have gauges, you can see what you are adjusting. Only one adjustment for pressure (without modifying spools and ports). Manual indicates how much and which way to turn screw.
