Wow, that's kinda bizarre.... one to take note of. You have good starts, and stable idle now?

Its firing the frist time, with no problems, still kinda idaling weired, I have plug the all the vacume ports. and did the starting fluided trick. its not showing any signs of a vacum leak. Im thinking that I may have a timing cover cracked. I have a leak that keeps ending up in my oil pan. I have stop the leak with a stop leak in my coolant. So now thats fixed its time to rip the front of the motor apart, and fix more problems. and do the recommended upgrades.

May wanna have a new timing cover handy, in case yours is pitted to bad to save. Mine was marginal.... but, nice bead of RTV filled the voids, and I have had no leaks for over a year.
