Yes, this is the same radiator I installed when I did my engine swap a couple of years ago. No plastic tanks to go bad! Keeps my engine temp steady and its a bolt-in swap.

I have one in my '95 now, I like it much better than the factory crap.

Default Radiator

I also installed one of these aluminum radiators BEFORE my factory one went to hell. Great fit and very well made.

I've been checking E-Bay, Amazon, and even went to the CSF site and checked their catalog. Everything I've checked so far specifies a plastic tank for the CSF 2969. Doesn't look like CSF makes anything but plastic tank radiators anymore for Rams.

This is frustrating. Might get this done on my other ram now (or keep it as a backup) while the 2969 is still $200 shipped.

The new 3359 does state with Steel crimped to make it stronger, but I have no idea how much stronger that will make it. Crimped anything is a bad design, period. If you live in an area with bad (or dirt) roads, things fatigue quickly. I'm all for making things more efficiently/less expensive but its not always the best idea. Having a radiator 'wear out' is not a routine maintenance item. My family has had vehicles with 200k+ miles on them with no issues till around the late 90's, early 00 models with things you wouldn't expect to wear out, like a radiator.

The OE radiators seem to last about 10-12 years in my experience (a few failing around 100k miles, one at 200k) in the same manner. The endcaps start to leak.

No way a radiator with plastic tanks crimped onto an aluminum core is going to outlast an all-aluminum radiator, as long as the all-aluminum unit is welded (like the CSF unit) and not put together with epoxy. The welded all-aluminum radiator can be repaired, if needed. I agree with you that so many items on cars these days are made with obsolesence in mind. At least with forums like this, we can share information to keep these vehicles going longer and stronger.

Ebay still has them listed under CSF 2969 #370787867308 for $204.68 shipped.
Glad I bought mine when I did since they are to be discontinued...Too bad. :-(
