Default holy **** i have a problem!

97 ram 360 4x4. Ive tried eveything i know to fix tjis issue. Misfire seems to be a common prob on these trucks. I bought the truck. Soon after arough. I first thought plentum then cracked heads. I wiggled the wiring harness and the idle improved so did the od shake. I ohmes the injectors then replaced for safe messure. Now it runs smooth with a cylinder five misfire and a o2 high voltage. Running real righ i assume to comp. My thoughts: 1. Faulty pcm 2. Bad cat. 3. Harness fault. 4. Clogged fuel rail.

If it's a consistent misfire on one cylinder then something is up with that one particular cylinder (bad valve, plug, wire, injector) Which oxygen sensor is running at high voltage?

How many miles on truck? Probably need to consider replacing O2 sensors and see if cat is clogged. So did you check the plenum....the correct way?

I used a vacuum gauge. All factory specs. Ohmed the injectors and replaced for good messure and did a tune up. The truck has 220k. The cat has been punched. I think thats the high voltage. the timing is jumping on the scan tool. Could it be a pickup coil

Im also thinking about pulling the 360 and dropping in a 98 5.2

Pickup coil has nothing to do with ignition timing. Cranks sensor handles that.

why would you go backwards? 360's are better in every way!

Sorry, but you wasted money replacing the injector that passed the Ohm test *unless* the injector has a clogged inlet and was therefore not operating properly.

You need to break this down into a step-by-step process to properly troubleshoot the issue rather than replacing parts in a wanton fashion.

+1! And check the plenum the correct way.
