Default A/C clutch?

Is it normal that the a/c compressor goes off and on while the heater is going?
It's engages for about 1 minute then goes off for about 1 minute.

Does this happen on anyone else's?

Yes this is normal when you have defrost or combo floor/defrost selected. not running your a/c compressor for 7 months of the year isn't good for seals etc...it also helps take moisture out which fogs up on interior of windshield. Designed to work that way.

I use the A/C year round, just adjust the temp control unless it's real cold.
