Yesterday I changed the Transmission control solenoid because my transmission would not shift out of first. Now the transmission will shift through all gears but acts like the emergency brake is on. I took it to auto zone and the following codes were given, p0711, p0713, p0753, and p01763. All of which gave a description of the pressure being too high and there having electrical issues. I am not positive how the govenor pressure selenoid works but why would the transmission feel like the brake is on?
Brake is not on, And yes there is a drain plug. the wires are new just installed yesterday. if the governor pressure seleniod was bad would it cause it to feel like that? How does it work anyhow?
Governor pressure solenoid is just a solenoid the PCM pulses to control fluid pressure in the trans. Pressure sensor is the other piece that fits into the same housing.
Sure you didn't pinch a wire when bolting things back up? Did you replace the sensor as well?

P0711 Trans Temp Sens, No Temp Rise After Start
P0713 Trans Temp Sens Voltage Too Hi
P0753 Trans 3-4 Shift Sol/Trans Relay Circs
P1763 Governor Press Sens Volts Too Hi
Or, you have a short to power somewhere in there.....

im sure I didn't its very open where the wires sit, I replaced the one with the foot long cable. auto zone pn 22954B. The wires looked good. My main question I guess would be if the pressure seleniod went bad would it cause the tranny to act sluggish and require manual shift?
