Assuming he were to continue running EFI, how would the OBD1 PCM respond to the eddy heads and cam? Aside from potentially helping the OP, this is also of interest to my '78 EFI swap.

LOL!!!! I see he took her out for ice cream, but he better buy her flowers before he attempts second base. He is going to need the power of the Hemi to get that load moving.

There are still a few Mopar Performance pcm's kicking around for the old obd1 trucks and they take to mods very well. There is B&G that can tune a OBD1 pcm as well, but it's best if you have 2 pcms so you can still drive the truck while the other one is out getting reprogrammed. I use the MP pcm in my truck and I am "very happy" with it, one day I will try the sct tuner just for S&G's

Part number P5249546 Engine Controller (1994–95 5.9L ATX Ram)
Part number P5249545 Engine Controller (1994–95 5.2L ATX Ram and Dakota)

You can get a build sheet. Go to the FAQ/DIY section and look for the thread "How do I get a Build Sheet."

pull the 360 out and drop a built 383 stroker in there... lol... probably your cheapest option easy 650hp

(yes its a chebby motor in a dodge...whatevs...lets see you build a dodge motor for cheaper than you can buy an already build 383 stroker motor)

For cheap and silly, buy an old big block Dodge engine and transmission. 383 / 400 / 413 / 440. They can be found fairly cheap. Bolt up a used TF727, carb the whole thing, and watch as your rear tires shred.

Old motor homes are good for that.

I can attest to the big blocks shredding tires. The 76 does that easy if you brake stand it and let off.

I once put a Dodge 400 B/RB in a '73 Scout II. I had to keep it in 4x4 just to get traction and even with the extra drag from the drive train I was smoking unsuspecting thrill seekers at lights. I would have put that Scout II as the winner of my own '98 360 Durango which in it's own right is faster than most would assume.

I bet that was fun. What carb did you have on it? Standard Carter TQ?

I wonder if you could put 440 heads on a 400....I mean, the bore on the 400 is actually larger.
