Default growling vibrations

01 4x4 1500 5.9
I get a pulsing vibration that will come and go at any random speed. A bump can start and stop it. So can hitting slush with only one side of the truck. 4WD works and doesn't seem to trigger any vibes. Could it be binding u joint on drive shaft? Any other ideas?

Are you talking about a wobble? If so , you need to check ALL the front steering and suspension components and verify which ones are good and which ones are not.

I don't feel it in the steering wheel at all, mainly on the floor boards.

Wheel balance, suspension parts worn as zman stated, bad tire. The list can go on.

Specific speed? Any other condition? Any noise associated with it? Need more info. Start by checking the suspension parts such as tie rods and such to eliminate.

While rolling about 15mph it was doing it and I slid it into 4hi and it stopped as soon as it engaged. Leads me to think transfercase is not disengaging all the way.

Might want to check your fluid level of your t-case. Sounds like you might have something grinding in there. Too much friction. Also, as the others already said, check all of your steering/suspension. Dodges are known for wearing them out.

Well you should probably verify that at least the the CAD is working properly. http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/repair/..._engagment.htm

And have you checked the hub assemblies and axle ujoints?
