Guess you need a custom tune.

 

Same tuner, with custom tune for cam, etc.

Did you tell him waht mods you were planing? He may be allowing for that. A phone all will assure you get what you need.

 

Wonder if you can get by with the "canned tunes" for your year truck with a 5.9L?

 

So did the shift detent get figured out?

 

I just emailed him about it, hoping he says the cheaper one will work. I am going to order one tomorrow which ever one it may be. I have a few pics I will try to upload by next week

 

haha it did zman, I still have to put it in the right way, but I ran out of tranny fluid today so I didnt want to drain the tcase untill I get some more for it. Thanks again everyone for all the help. I cant wait to get the tuner for it so I can start driving her again!

 

Got another update, I thought I would fill everybody in on. Talked to Sean at Hemifever today and he said you dont have to order a tuner to run a 5.9 off a 5.2 pcm. I thought and everyone has told me that it would run lean, which makes sense. But I guess the 5.2s run rich enough it will run the 5.9 just fine. He said that he does something with the timing a little bit that the 5.9 likes better. I am still going to order the tuner though, he said the 295 dollar one would work. So I am pretty excited to get some tranny fluid in it and take her for a spin!! He also said there isnt much of a horse power difference, but the 5.9 just has quite a bit more torque.
