Default plenum kit inbound

my hughes plenum kit will be here tomorrow. any last minute advice before i take my only way to work apart into 1000 pieces this weekend?

Take your time, keep like bolts together, mark things if you need to for easier re-assembly.

If you live in a salty area you can probably expect to break a bolt somewhere along the way

Have some PB Blaster nearby. And some RTV too.

Are you just doing the plenum pan/gasket or the whole Hughes kit?

It's really not to bad if nothing breaks.

ok im gonna try and respond to everyone at once... i ordered the entire plenum kit. i was not aware i could have gotten it for cheaper. i have a white 98 with a 360. i live in wv which is salty but i just bought the truck from baltimore a month ago whis is not too salty. PHEW!!! was that everyone? oh yeah i have lots of pb blaster in the garage. LOL!!

The Plenum thread needs a good "cleaning" to remove the useless crap that's in it. Lots of good info there, but lots of useless crap too.

Just take it slow and easy, and use that PB Blaster like it is cheap!

Make sure you do not overtorque the intake bolts. Are you doing timing set at same time? You are already right there doing plenum. If so, do a double roller set, instead of OEM Morse style chain.
