You replaced the wire but it's still arcing to the metal shield? Try using some dielectric grease. Also did you pull the plug? If it's fouled it makes a lot of resistance and the spark needs to go elsewhere.

Hey I pulled it and it looked clean. I gaped them before I put them in a few months ago but of course silly me left my dad's gap tool up at school. Have to quit working for the day but think I should run to advanced tomorrow, get a new plug and change it in the parking lot?

Thanks again for the help! Got to play with my dad's new welder today to patch up my exhaust and it was a blast =D

I don't think the spark plug wire is on the spark plug all the way. Are you sure the inside of the shield is clean and allowing the boot to go on all the way?

All the more reason to remove the shields, it's simply another opportunity for a spark to jump (but of course not a substitute for wires in good condition).

Well, I tried to rip that shield off and it went horrible and turned into a mangled mess. So its still on there but I it seems like it "clicks" onto the plug properly

Plus I don't know how the boot wouldn't be able to sit down all the way if I am able to get a spark plug socket around the spark plug. And it doesn't consistently spark out, its random

Worked on it after dinner. I finished patching up my exhaust first but I swapped cylinder 1 and 3 plugs and the one that was arcing at 3 did it at 1 when I swapped it so I am running to advanced tomorrow morning to get a new plug. Ill let you know how it goes
