2" spacers on an OffRoad? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant get a solid answer... got an 01 ram OffRoad sport pkg.. and I wanna level it out with the 2" spacers in the front.... i keep being told i cant b/ cof the pitman arm and trac bar and something else... and i was also told that i can do it with no problems... I NEED HELP!!!!
as far as i know, you dont have to have any of that other stuff. I think if the pitman arm would work on a full 3in lift the i think it would be fine for that
Thats wierd, I really can't think why the pitman would get screwed up...it seems like you would just have to get one for the "off-road" ram. I wouldn;t worry about the sport part of it.
I've got an 01 offroad sport too. I have done some research on adding spacers to the front and have found that the only possible problem is the shocks. Depending on what type of shocks you currently have (ie. stock or aftermarket), you may have to go to a longer shock. Other than that, you should be fine. Good luck and post some pics after you are done.
well the reason why im doing this is not just for the lift but i came home from iraq for 7 months and it looked like someone "stoll" my lift off the front end.... just sat a lot lower and my rear end was really high... so im not sure if my stock springs crapped out on me or what... it would be funny if someone lowjacked my sock springs and put reg. no lift ram springs in...i dont think that happend though....
I have an o1' off road with a 2" leveling kit. I didn't change a thing. Like Off_Road_Teacher said I think thre only problem is the shocks. Somtimes the front end feels like it tops out. Other than that there has been no problems!
awesome then its a done deal.... although im thinkin of doing the 2500 truck coils instead of the spacers... who knows we will see

I have a 2001 ram offroad laramie edition with the 5.9. I was told that you didn't need anything else, but you do. You can drive it without changing the trac bar, but I wouldn't do it long. I am getting a weird reaction that feels like the tire is ready to fall off, when I am on the interstate. I am pretty sure it is the trac bar. Even if it isn't, you need one anyway. The axle gets pulled to the driverside about an inch, because the trac bar is too short. Hope this helped some.
