Transmission woahs...
well, as some, or all of you may know, i recently built a 360, and have gotten it installed and running.
when i first started the motor the trans was run dry, as i didnt have the cooler lines hooked up yet, so im hoping i didnt ruin anything.
everything is hooked up, but the transmission has been acting funny.
tonight, i hooked up the scanner to it, and took it for a drive around the block.
trans temp started out at 147... weird, i know. after i got home, truck stalled(think it ran out of gas), and trans temp on scanner was showing 302 degrees
and the temp light, an o/d off light came on. now, i only drove this truck for less than a 1/2 mile on this "test drive" so that temp makes zero sense...
so, i also pulled, and wrote down ALL the codes im getting. some of them i already knew about. but some of them(most) were EXTREMELY shocking to see.
p0753 trans 3-4 solenoid circuit
p1763 Gov pressure sensor too high
p0713 trans temp voltage too high
p0743 tcc solenoid open, or short
p0138(rear o2 isnt hooked up yet)
p1391 intermittenet loss to cmp, ckps(already knew about this one too)
p0037 undocumented code(has to do with front o2 sensor i think. already knew about it also)
p0712 trans temp voltage low
WTF!!!!! i have a feeling im going to need to either do my 5 speed swap sooner than expected, or something went awry when there was hardly any fluid in it.
its not slipping, by any means. just extremely sluggish. im praying i didnt ruin my transmission.
flame away if you wish. i learned my lesson!!!
thanks for any, or all help that ive received in the build thread, and with any help i receive here!

Bummer on the stuff dude. Here's possibly a few things to consider.
First I recommend you be taking notes some place on things you've done/not done/etc.
Second, thing of the whole thing as a system.
I think you should trust the temp reading on the tranny. It's definitely very plausible to drive the temp up quickly when it's not operating correctly (e.g,. no fluid flow).
What is the fluid level and condition such as look and smell? For instance, did you replace approximately what you think had been dumped? Any chance you got crap in the lines?
Since you ran it dry and then you put new fluid in....you may have dislodged crap that is now cloggin up the sensors and related.
Recheck all sensor connections.

well, i think im gonna pull off the pressure line from the cooler, and see if there is still flow. im hoping that there is.
gotta get some gas for it first, kinda ran out lol.
then its time to save some money, and replace the electronics in the trans(again) all 3 are less than a year old. WTF!
edit: guess ill start putting money away for a 5 speed swap too. gonna go with a 3500 for now, due to price. then upgrade later on.

You could have possibly busted loose some crud like stated earlier.. Might be worth it to drop the pan and have a look to see if anything jumps out at you..
