Transmission woahs...
So maybe the lesson here is....electrical parts that are designed to function submerged, may overheat and crater without the fluid surrounding it. Maybe.
What about pulling them out to check visually, then ohm them out and see if they are bad.
there was earlier today when the pressure line was leaking at the trans. tightened it up, and then everything happened.
gonna put about 5 gallons of premium in it tomorrow as it literally ran out. then im gonna pull the pressure line off the cooler, and then start it to double check. im praying there is flow.
i could always pull the aux filter and see if there is flow. i really hope its an electrical issue.
it would make sense if it was because the fluid keeps the sensors and solenoids cool, to a point. so maybe they fried themselves...
ill just be glad when it isnt so retarded!

that would be a great idea, but the one tool i dont have.... you guessed it, a multimeter.
ok, so ive been doing some thinking...
the transmission is most definitely fine, i fried the sensors and solenoids. the truck has been sitting all night, and the trans temp, and o/d off light are still illuminated, and wont shut off.
where is the trans temp sensor on a 46re? is it integraded into one of the solenoids or something?
if i had some gas in it, id unplug the 8 pin round plug and take it for a spin.
gonna replace the electronics, as stated in a previous post. my neighbor with the challenger told me hed lend me money, and the good thing about that is, i can work off the loan, by doing things for him. he has 2, or 3 herniated discs in his back, so anything i can do to help him, is all labor, and money for me.
thats the same way i got my sleep number bed from him for free. plow his and his mother-in-laws driveway all this year to pay for the bed!

Temp sensor is part of the governor pressure sensor.
Given that your trans is whining about EVERYTHING in it, I don't think it is a mechanical issue, check to see if some wires didn't get pinched somewhere when reinstalling the engine.

im going to replace all the sensors/solenoids(again) and hopefully it will fix it.
ill put some gas in it either tonight, or tomorrow morning, and unplug the 8 pin connector and see if that fixes things...
