Default Major problem with reverse

Yes this did result from offloading...
1996 ram 1500 4x4
So we finished and I would shift the truck into reverse and feel the tranny shift but I would have to rev the engine to almost 3500 Rpms for it to start moving backwards. It seemed to work better in 4 low. But now it just gets worse and won't move in reverse. Also when my 4x4 is shifted back to 4x2 it makes a loud grinding noise then clunk when it gets back to 4x2. Drive and moving forward is fine

Drop the pan, see what you find.

I had lost reverse after backing up a hill with a massive load of wood in the bed, I found my thread but deleted the pics and video from photobucket so it's useless.

I did a rear band adjustment, and I still have reverse just as good as it was before it blew.

Edit: I found the pics and video on my pc, video shows what I believe to have been the problem...

Well we have a trusted dodge mechanic who is diagnosising the whole truck for 100. That way I will have a good idea of what has to be done before summer farm work. This will be its first trip into a mechanic ( kinda proud of myself lol) but I will tell everyone how it goes. In the mean time someone is buying me some nice rims and my 3 inch leveling for my bday. After that its time for pics. Does anyonee know if I will have a problem lifting the truck 3 inches or if I have to do any major changes besides shocks?

So it got back from the diagnosis and I'm kinda annoyed. He didn't open up the pan or anything and said internal failure because of no reverse and delayed shifts. But the weird thing is that after sitting for a while and real slow throttle it shifts fine. But under heavy throttle the shifts delay. But I can manually shift with the selector which gives me hope the tranny isn't completely gone. He quoted me 1800 saying its the rear clutch? I don't know but maybe someone here can shed some light

If I remember right Reverse is on the Rear band, don't have the FSM on this computer, you could do a band adjustment first, see what happens... It's free minus the ATF+4 you gotta buy...
