Default Deleting catalytic

Ive got a buddy trying to duel exhaust his truck, He has a 97 1500 with the 5.9 auto tranny. We want to do straight pipe but don't want the check engine light to be constantly on. What should we do with the o2 sensors? Ive been told there is some sort of computer box/chip that fools the computer. Any one know anything about doing something like this? We live in northern utah and dont have emissions testing.

Search on O2 simulator and you'll get a lot of hits.

Either run a simulator or do the non-fouler trick. The non-fouler diy is in the diy/faq section.

You say "O2 SENSORS" For the post cat sensor yes you can do the non fouler , but for pre cat sensor, the best way is to have an x or h pipe and have that sensor in the middle.
