Where did you get the puller from? If it is cheap quality like harbor freight tools it wont work. I broke 2 before I had to spend $ for a good one. A little bit of heat seemed to help also

I use two large hammers... (3 pounders...) Hold one against one side of the arm, and SMACK the other side with the other one. Usually, two or three good hits, and it pops right off.

If you value your eyes, but safety glasses on.

had the same issue on my buddys 99 1500. couldnt get the pitman arm off... used some heat, and mopar penetrant. then out the puller back on, tightened it, and proceeded to use a hammer. came off after a couple hits, and retightening of the puller.
