Whats the diffrence in front axle on the 1500's in 98 and 99 salvage yard said 94-97 are diffrent than 98and 99 I tried to look it up and someone said ti was the sway bar is it possible to swap it out for an earlier one what would it take. My spring bucket is rusting out and thats the only way I see to fix it thanks

 

Can you just grab a spring bucket, and weld it on?

I think the difference is the sway bar links, and possibly the size of the cam bolts. (caster adjustment)

 

That was my plan but they wouldnt sell just the spring buckets so it was the whole axle or nothing. could I switch the sway bars. is the sway bars the same on the 2500's or are they diffrent on 98 & 99 too I wouldnt be opposed to an axle upgrade

 

Get the sway bar to match the newer 1500 diff and the upper and lower control arms, it will bolt in. 2500 dana 60 "8 bolt" install is ez but going to need new rims/wheels.

 

Yea I got the 98 so I imagine if I get the earlier sway bar and control arms it will fit ? Might do the swap later on too. Thanks for the help guys
