I agree that anything that keeps oil out of intake is a good thing!
I don't see any reason why you couldn't remove it and soak it in gasoline or maybe even some K&N filter cleaner.

so any updates? mine has been filling up a bit. i am able to drain it but it is slow draining and the stuff that comes out smells a lot like gas.

Mine seems to work pretty well, I just have to seal the drain better, keeps leaking...

Cheap and easy, I dont drive mine much anymore so I have not bothered to see how much oil it's collecting. Let us know since I'm sure you use yours more.

It's hard to believe how much money you save on gas when you go to something fuel efficient from these trucks.
