Hello all, I am a newbie here that found this forum when searching for an answer to my question. I have a 97 Ram 1500 and my question is about the front axle housing. I have purchased a used one to replace my existing one and after got it home noticed it only has 1 rib i guess you would call it on the side of the gear housing and my existing one has 3. Everything else looks the same except for the ribs on side of housing. The tag on the cover has same numbers on both. Just wondering what the difference is? Is it weaker? I am running 35's and 3 inch lift on truck.

Here is a pic of what the one i have in it now looks like. See on the side of the housing there are three ribs. the one i just got only has one
