What will you be running for tires? I would suggest 4.56 if anything over what you got in your sig. My Ram is my daily driver and my play toy. I use it for mudding and offroading as well. Look at my sig. My truck will give you a good idea as to where to start.

I really like my BFG all terrains so im going to stick with those. But how bad is your gas milage with that kind of gearing? Is 4.10 not good enough if I go with 315/75/16?

Dont forget your flywheel or flexplate from the 5.9 donor. 5.2s and 5.9s are balanced differently. Junk yard list would be this:
Entire engine from oil pan to intake, pcm, flexplate/flywheel. Thats it. 5.9 swaps are just as easy as pulling your 5.2 and putting it right back in.
P.S. - Your thread title doesnt really match the questions you are asking. When I clicked on your thread, I was under the assumption that it would be body or interior related because thats what a large part of a "restoration" usually consists of. Posting an accurate thread title will yield better results. People with engine knowlegdge may not think to click on a thread that most likely isnt about engines. Not being a killjoy, just trying to get you better results.

Well it is going to be body work as well and interior. But just the bed, bumper, quarter panels, and the cracked dash. But thank you!

5.9 Cummins swap would require way too much work to pull off, nevermind the cost. Plus they aren't good in the mud (trust me I own one). The 360 swap wouldn't take much and you will have less down time, and would make more power then the 318.

I find that hard to believe since there is 1000 lbs over the front tires...
