You will need everything from the spring mounts on the frame to the axle. Probably wouldn't hurt to snag the e-brake cables as well. You will have to remove everything from the target truck, and move everything over from the donor truck. Go out, have a look at things, and it should give you a really good idea of what is going to need to happen. It's really not that bad of a swap. Keep in mind, driveshaft lengths as well. For the same body style, 3/4 ton shaft is just a bit shorter, and uses a larger u-joint at the rear axle. (and depending on year, it may mount differently.)

Near as I can tell I'll have all that I was going to swap the transfer case as well so as long as the transmission doesn't differ the rear should be straight swap. However I don't have the front drive shaft to go with the T-case can I use any second gen for that or do I have to match particular years. Just to refresh the donor truck is a 98.

Need a drive shaft from the same weight rating truck. I don't think cab configuration matters on the front.
Only thing that matters is tire size. PCM reads the rear wheel speed sensor to determine how fast you are going, and by design, rear end gearing doesn't matter. Changing tire size will throw it off a bit though. Any shop with a decent scan tool should be able to correct for that though. (I think....)

This is the lift i was planning to add with the axle swap. i've already had a couple pm's regarding it one thought it would work the other wasn't sure just wanted to open it up to get a broad opinion and if anyone had had personal experience with that style/brand of lift what they thought about its performance.

Autozone, Napa, Oreilly's etc. all the brick n mortar stores only carry OEM/stock stuff.
Cut off the spring perches and get new ones from various online custom stores like Ruff Stuff specialties, Ballistic Fabrication, etc.
Also, rear driveshaft typically needs to be shortened about 2".
