If you can find an 01 parts donor.....

Grab the t-case, and rear shaft as well, if the truck is the same body style/cab/bed length as yours.

If you are worried about the cam bolt size difference, take the control arms with the axle.

Found my donor truck, ended up going with your rout merc225hp bought the whole truck (-blown motor) may be able to save 3 others that way. this however provided some interesting options for me, the donor is a 2500 with a 5.9 360 and as far as i can tell a nv241 i've read that it can be switched with the nv231 that i currently have as long as the input drive is switched are there any posts about doing this or can someone explain what i would need to do to get it to bolt up to my current trans.

You shouldn't even need to swap the input. They are both 23 spline inputs. Should just be a bolt in deal.

Read this. You should consider it with your Tcase upgrade.

Well when I find a nv4500 I'll come calling for you in the meantime do you know any members that I might talk to for automatic questions?
