speed limiter?
Is there a mod for a speed sensor/governor on my 95 gasser?Soon as I hit 90 it kicks it.Not like I'm gonna be burying the needle but if those zombies from world war z come..your gonna wish you could
If it starts dropping cylinders at 95, that is more than likely a programming issue. Mopar makes a performance PCM for your truck, (but, I think it wants premium gas too....) that should have the speed limiter. PCM is the computer that runs the engine, and just about everything else.....
I'm a fork..I know what Pam is...that's what happens when you spend too much time away from the forums.I was just reading somewhere that you can fix it but then the speed won't work&with summer coming I need that speedo lol no but serious this is how my suburban was you hit 80&it dropd..there's got to be a quick fix.I do a lot of passing out here in the country.
If you disconnect the VSS at the trans, yeah, the computer won't know how fast you are going, but, neither will you, and TCC, O/D, and cruise won't work either. MP PCM is your only other choice.
HeyYou is correct. Limiter for all 2nd Gen Rams is built into the computer (PCM), only way to get around it is a tuner of some sort if you are 1996 or newer. If 1994-1995 like yours, the Mopar Performance PCM or sending your PCM out for a custom flash are the only options.
That or slow down and drive more safely.

Flashpaq tuner is a good one they have multiple tuners for dodges. It'll kick your limiter/gov and give you a little more power. There pricey though, but stay away from cheap tuners. Especially GF tuners their nothing but resonators and will hurt your engine more than help it.
