Really if you have just two other people you can take the bed off. It's heavy but not that heavy. If it is not practical than drop the tank. With where the fuel pump is on these trucks there is not alot of space to cut out a hole to do it from the top as you can see in the video.

dropping the tank is easy and fast just becareful when u drop it not to bend the lines... i used an old chair that would go up and down u know? i took the back off it and the wheels of of it, and used it to drop the tank and old the weight and i did that with it 3/4 full

thats a good idea, i might try that. I have an old compter chair that i can use.

Doesnt mean its always the easiest...there's been many of things that I found to be easier and quicker than following the manuel or chryslers suggestions.

this is true I never considered where you live here in the rust belt the box bolts are a pain to remove its easer to undo the 2 bolts on the tank from experience up here
