Default Airbag light

A while back my clock spring let go, so of course I lost all functions on my steering wheel. With that comes the annoying light as well. I recently just got around to replacing the clock spring and I once again have cruise control. My question is, how do you reset the light? I've tried the key trick and unhooked the negative for an hour. Has anyone else been there done that?

It should just figger it out.... unless there is another problem. or, the new clockspring wasn't quite up to snuff.... Could try going to the parts store and seeing if their scanner would reset it, but, I wouldn't hold my breath on that. May need to pay a shop to have a quick look, and see what's up.

not that this has anything to do with a dodge, but we've got a bunch of honda accords which occasionally have a malfunction with a weight sensor in the passenger side seat which turns on the SRS airbag light. every time that happens its a dealer only reset.

May want to recheck the connection on clockspring. It should clear if all is good.

I suppose that's a possibility gdstock. The wire that runs down the column and plugs into the bottom of the dash gave me a bit of a problem. It looked exactly the same as the old one though. The copper inside the socket may have bent.

If I recall correctly from when I did some work on mine, the pins in the connector are really thin. I worried that I might bend them.

Well I have checked all my connections, they all seem to be fine. Dodge wants well over 100 to diagnose the problem, I'll keep the light thank you.. Maybe over time it will clear itself who knows.
