Oil leak

If the distributor was removed, it must be re-installed in the same position/orientation that it was removed - the position of the rotor and the orientation of the distributor housing must be very close to how the distributor was located on the engine before it was removed. When I swapped engines in my truck, I installed a new distributor, cap and rotor. I marked the location of the distributor housing in reference to the engine block, along with the rotor direction. I then installed the new distributor with the same orientation and the engine fired right up.
I'd double check to ensure you don't have a spark plug wire installed out of order at the distributor cap and reference the service manual (available on this site for download) on installing the distributor correctly. You can likely get it to run without going to the dealer with patience and trial + error.

I move the distributor hard against the stop in the fork- counter clock wise direction ( Kind of zeroed) and tried to start -No go. Moved it about a quarter turn clock wise- No start but a slight clough. Rotated another quarter turn clock wise and BOOM. Seems to running fine right now. I had it out last weekend and it ran really good. Power and gas consumption seem a little better but it was only an oil leak on the front and rear oil seals on the intake. The plenum was still intact and holding after 180 000 kms but I did change it since it was off( Hughes Engine). Also put in new oil sender, cap( broke one bolt which cause my problem- be carefully when removing the bolts)plugs, wires and a new water pump.
I realized you should get it scanned but this will do for now.
