Default Tow Mirrors??

So I just got a new truck a few weeks ago and have been working on it and the mirrors are starting to make me mad because the driver side can only move in two directions I think its down and left and then the driver side can only move down and right I think???? is this because they are aftermarket and someone did not hook them up right or just something is wrong with them?

Someone might not have installed them correctly or the little motor is messed up.

But are they not moving up? Is that your question? You're not real clear...

Get a meter, and see if the switch is bad.

Thats confusing. Is one of those "drivers side" supposed to be passenger side? Like stated, time to check the switch and the wiring.

yeah sorry about that the second driver side was suppose to be a passenger side lol but both sides move but they only move in two directions like say one mirror can move up and right but not down and left and then they other can move down and right but not up and left lol its so confusing I guess I will just take the door panel off and see how they are hooked up but I thought they were suppose to be plug and play

they are plug and play.... it could be that they are older and worn out... or they are a cheap knock off mirror... i just put new mirrors on my dodge and you pull the door panel off discount the plug to the mirrors and unbolt the 3 nuts that hold the mirror on... took me all of about 15 mins to take my old ones of and install my new ones

I think I may have found out what the problem is after I looked into it more both mirrors can move down and right.. so I am thinking it is the switch that is the problem I just now need to figure out how to remove that switch and then go find one at a junk yard
