hot motor

Default hot motor

i bought a 1996 ram 1500 360 mag it got hot but it didn't bake the oil in the heads how good does these motors take heat fired it up for a few sec's it had a sound like a spark plug blowed out anybody know if this motor is hurt.

Potential damage has to do with how hot and how long. Also if it got hot fomr lack of coolant or from lack of oil.....

Spark plug blowed out? What does that mean? Like blew out of the hole?

Not much way we can tell if engine is good. Does it run correctly? Did you fix whatever caused it to get hot?

Do a compression and leak down on it.
