Gearing Q with 37s
I have a 2000 1500 off road, it came with 4.10s and has lived with both 35s and 37s most of it's life. I recently rebuilt the transmission and notice the truck does struggle a bit on the freeway, a little too much shifting and sometimes I just slow down and hit the O/D button to keep it off.
I want to know which would be better for daily driving, having to live with it every single day that is. 4.56 or 4.88. I am leaning on 4.88 because I feel 4.56 is not enough for 37s, am I right? I would also like to recover some mileage but lets be honest with 37s, 7 inch long arm kit from skyjacker, the truck still gets 11.5 to 12 on the highway which I'm told is unbelievable.

I agree with HeyYou. Indeed, that mpg (if it's right) is unbelievable with 37s, unless you are only quoting downhill portions. LOL
Are you also taking this rig out and working it off pavement? Any engine mods?
