Default 98 Dodge Noise

Howdy,
Own a 98 Dodge 2500 Ram w/ 360 V8 4x4. Has a slight tick/knock when @ operating temp & lower oil press(20psi). When it's cold good pressure & no sound,120k on the engine. Is it a Rod or Oil pump? Wife pulls a 3 Horse trailer w/ it. Great source of information on this form. Thanks.

I would be willing to bet that the oil pickup screen is likely clogged up.
Welcome to DF.

Sorry about the wrong place and thanks for the replies. Sounds like an easy fix, lol. I'll follow up on the Oil pump and post the findings.

If you are going to pull the oil pan, replace the pump also. And you should replace the rear main seal while your in it. http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech/rearmain.php

Wanna play guinea pig? Replace the oil pump with a high volume/high pressure unit. See what your pressure looks like at idle on a hot motor then.
