Default 2001 1500 5.9 Shifting

I feel like my truck is shifting kind of late while driving. I'm not very experienced when it comes to cars, but when should it be shifting? Right now it's shifting around 33 or 34 at ~2k RPMs. I can't go over 60 because I live on an island with low speed limits

That's actually about right. Depending on how hard you are stepping on the gas. (not very, would be my guess.

That's about when mine shifts. I'm in a bigger city so I feel your 60mph max pain. Seems like 1st and 2nd gear run longer but that's pretty normal.

SCT Tuner would alter shift points. Not sure how much though, plenty of people here have SCT and could tell you...
