I'm stuck in Spartenburg SC need info on company that will cut off and replace damaged rear axle bearing hub on site without removing rear end housing from vehivle
The rear in that truck has full-floating axles and the bearing races can be easily driven out and replaced, unless the truck has been driven for a very long time with a bad bearing..
Atomic is correct. Full floating axle. There AREN'T any axle bearings. Axle is supported on the inner end by the carrier, on the outer end, it bolts in place. hub slides off the spindle, and both bearings are in the hub. Those are easily replaceable.
