1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L won't start?!
Hi,
I drive a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 5.2L and it won't start anymore.
I had a lot of things done to it.... had the Fuel pump changed, spark plugs, wires, o2 sensors changed, body throttle cleaned and a few other things everything was working fine and one day I was about to leave for work and it just wouldn't start.... the starter is working good but after having a deeper look at the truck with my brother we noticed that the Fuel pump won't prime( or make any sound at all while having the ignition turned on) so were thinking that the fuel doesn't reach the engine or something.....Any Suggestions ? if I should change all the electrical wires that's connected to the Pump or whatever Any Help would be great Thank you

does the 97 have a fuel pressure test port on fuel rail, drivers side, above valve cover. looks like a tire valve. if you press it and it squirts fuel out at very high pressure, like 49 psi, straight into your eyeball, then fuel pump is likely ok. if not - its bad. fuel pump and filter are a combined unit, conveniently located in the tank.
fuel pump should come on at ignition on for a very short period, like 3 seconds. verify fuse is good.
welcome to DF.
ps - give it a good squirt of starting fluid down the throttle body and see if it tries to fire. this would verify no fuel.
more ps - also check for 12v at the fuel pump connection on top of tank.
