I have an engine code for p0331, looked it up on the forum, and it tells me that it is this; P0331 Knock Sens2 Circ Range/Perf Bank2.
I'm not too sure what this means, so if anyone could clear that up for me, that would be great. This is a 1998 ram 1500, 5.2l with 113k miles. In the past 2 months I have done a SCT tune, Plenum gasket repair, 180 t-stat, new wires, plugs, distributor, etc.
I am led to believe that this is an 02 sensor? Or at least something to do with my cat for the reason that I got a whole new exhaust put on maybe 4-5 months ago, and every time I would get on it, it would smell like rotten eggs, which would lead me to believe the cat was bad, but was told otherwise and it is just breaking-in. So I also went off-roading a couple weeks ago, and midst off-roading I hit a puddle, and got water on where my plugs meet my wires in the heat shield (stupid design btw) and could barely keep the truck running, without giving it gas, and while barely keeping it running, I noticed my cat was GLOWING red, and I'm pretty sure that isn't right. I got it towed home, and replaced the wires, and ran even better than it used to, I thought at least. Ever since then I haven't noticed my cat really giving that awkward rotten egg smell when I got on her either, and about last week I get this engine code. I have also been noticing the exhaust smelling as if it is running a bit rich, although my gas mileage isn't too terrible considering its a v8, 3:55 gears and 33 inch tires, probably about 11.5mpg, for around town.
Thanks in advance.
Just a kind of off topic question, but how exactly do I put like a sentence or two description of my truck on the bottom of every post, I post. Just to make things a little easier for others. Also I'm trying to figure out how to make a profile picture but can't seem to find that out either.

If it makes a difference, I THINK I have engine pinging, when I give it a little gas. I even have it tuned for 87, and thats what I'm putting in it. If it makes a difference, I have some kind of "sucking noise" coming from the engine when it is cold, especially completely cold start-ups, but goes away as soon as the engine is at operating temperature. It is very strange, and I don't know why. I do have wild vents if that makes a difference.
