Default Torque Converter Question

I have a 94' Dodge with a 46rh or A518 tranny. Recently I had replace the torque converter thinking it was a issue with shaking while drive down the highway. My question is the old one that I pulled out the slot on the torque converter was big enough to put ur finger in, my new one u barely fit ur finger threw what does the slots do. After I had swap the two I discovered the truck kinda struggles going up hills I hit 2500 rpms before moving and its like having a granny tranny any thoughs?

Pics of said slots?

What torque converter did you get? Any idea what stall speed it is? (or, is supposed to be....)

Fixed your plenum yet?

How old are your O2 sensors? Tune-up?

I can't load any pics of the slots but their the slots on the necking of the torque converter. The plan on the intake isn't leaking I had double check that, the troque converter that I had order from napa was a stock setting one they told me it had about a 1700 factory stall. Also the truck shows no check engine
