Default Exhaust set up

Hi just wondering what all I need for the exhaust set up I want. I am ordering pace setter long tube headers part no 70-2213. The truck is a 1997 Ram SS/T, and the check engine code is being thrown for the cat. So, if I delete cats with the long tube headers do I need like an O2 sensor extension? Or is there a port already in the headers? LOL. Also after that should I get a Y-pipe? I want to go out each side in front of the reaR wheels. So what exhaust should I order or should I just go straight pipes? I'm in Canada BTW, so no emissions. Thanks

Looking at pics of the headers it looks like there's an O2 bung in the pass side header. Not sure if you'll need an extension or not. I think there's an O2 sensor for our trucks that has a longer harness on it. I would just run true duals off the longtubes instead of messing with a Y pipe. Find a local shop to do it for you. I would keep the rear O2 and just put a spark plug non fouler in the rear to get rid of the check engine light. If you just leave the sensor disconnected the cel will stay on. I would also recommend mufflers. I have stock manifolds, true duals, and 12" glasspacks and it is LOUD. If it was my daily driver I would have to quiet it down some because I would feel bad starting it up at 0630 am to go to work lol.

There is a reason your cat went, most likely this. I would check that first and if necasarry fix it before delving into a new exhaust. Where in Canada? If your in Ontario yes there is and its a fineable offense to not have a cat.
