Default Vacume control transducer solenoid help

Would someone please tell me what i need to do with the
EGR vacume valve control transducer solenoid.
There are a number of vacume lines and a electronic lead conected to it.
Having blocked off the EGR valve fro the engine,
I would like to eliminate and remove this solenoid entirely.

I have no emision control laws wher i live.
Grateful for the help.

Default best solution

Seems that this is a vacant issue.
And as i have the EGR ports blocked, i am just strapping the vacume modual out of the way and will retire it.

That's probably the best bet. The PCM will still think there is something there... you may get EGR codes on occasion, but, just clear codes, and you should be golden. Not sure if you can get it custom tuned to simply delete the EGR system.... but, that would run around 250, at the cheapest...... and probably really isn't worth it.

I've considered doing the same thing. But my understanding is that it can lead to some pinging. Still undecided on it.

Wanted to ask how a custom tuned rig handles the different gas blends especialy the low emision blends found in different parts of the continent.
As i have noticed as i drive thru Canada and down thru the 48, there are some brands that are definately to be avoided during summer months especialy..
Just wonder what others that drive cross continent have noticed.

The computer can't tell what blend gas you are running, nor does it have a knock sensor, so if you get ping on one brand of gas...... don't run it. PCM only pays attention to fuel mixture via the O2 sensor. It has no way of knowing octane rating, or ethanol content, or if you are getting ping..... ( a knock sensor would have been REALLY nice on these engines......)

I find that during the winter, I CAN'T run 'cheap' gas. Gotta go to a big-name gas station, else I get ping up the wazoo.....
