From what I'm seeing, the front aam axle is a direct bolt in with the exception of driveshaft length & ujoint/yoke sizes. And fabbing shorter control arms are likely as well.

And you sure you have a 3.73:1 ratio in that rear Dana axle? Dodge rams didnt come from factory with 3.73s. (Unless you swapped in 3.73s for an odd reason)

Front and rear axle gear ratio MUST match if you intend to use 4wd....

^^^ This
You'll need to regear one axle or the other, cant use 4x4 with different gear ratios. Is the axle out of a 2500 as well or a 1500?

NO, Both are 3.55 gear ratio, I need to know if a diff from an 05 will bolt up to a 2000 or not, both Ram2500 with cummins, Matt says "no" can anyone verify this for me? don't worry aboiut the gearing, it is the same. also unrelated to the question at hand. Thanks.

Well it seemed unclear as to the gearing.. So I wanted to be sure...

It would sure suck to stick an axle in with different gearing and blow it up when you put it in 4wd...

I said no because it's not a simple swap even if the gears are the same.
