I broke the same bolt in taking my intake off. Can't get the intake off because of. Seems the bolt may be seized inside the hole in the intake. Been soaking it with PB Blaster for days. Intake is loose everywhere but that corner. I even bolted a chain on top of the intake, to attempt to pull it straight up. Didn't work. Any thoughts on breaking the bolt free from the intake?

Use a better penetrant, and compressed air to blow the crap out. Maybe even pry a bit near the bolt, just to get it to break loose. Don't wanna drill to much of it out, as that makes getting the rest of the bolt out a pain.....

Hey You I've had the same experience with the same bolts and I think Your advice is great. Im reinstalling the intake manifold now and have a slight problem after installing the 12 main bolts 6 on each side I still have what appears to be 2 holes in the back of the manifold near the distributer. What are they to be filled with? My rig is a 00,5.9/ RT. Thank You

I don't remember how many bolts were on my manifold, but, I don't remember any extra holes either...... Did you get new intake to engine bolts? There are rumors that they should not be re-used.......

Only 6 bolts per side, are you sure the holes are in the manifold? There are two small holes in the block back there to hold the gasket in place.

That's possibly for EGR? Something your truck doesn't have

Default intake manifold

Do You think these holes will be a problem when I start the truck up?

I don't think they go anywhere. Poke something into them, make sure they bottom out. If they don't, just put some bolts with a bit of RTV on the threads in 'em.
