Default Stall at engine idle

'98 Ram 1500 4X4, 5.9, Auto Trans. Engine stalls after warmup, when idling.
Not consistent, but often enough to be a nuisance.

I am new myself. Welcome to the Dodge Forum. You got most everything they need to know I think but, is there any modifications that have been done to the truck? Like, computer, injection modifications or anything you had done right before symptoms started? These guys are pretty smart and I am sure they will have a lot of ideas for you to try. I wanted to greet you and maybe get you thinking about things that they may ask. have you pulled your plugs to see what each cylinder is doing? That could tell you a lot right there.

Start with cleaning the throttle body and IAC...there's a DIY thread around here somewhere so just do a search or look in the "FAQ" section. They're both really simple to clean, just don't move the plunger thing on the IAC when you're cleaning it. If the problem persists after that's done, then its time to get a little fancy...

+1 on IAC and TB. Do you hear any hissing while it's idling? Perhaps a vacuum line somewhere has a hole in it?

Read the plenum sticky and here is the diy for TB and IAC cleaning. Disconnect the negative battery cable before cleaning or replacing ANY sensor.
