Default Sct 9550

Alright guys and gals,

I was all over this forum last night searching performance mods for my ram i just purchased. Its a 1997 1500 Sport 5.9l Magnum with 101K ZERO rust.

Now i got all excited reading about the sct 9550 tuner for our trucks, emailed hemifever like everyone suggests just to find out they dont make the tuner anymore WTF...

Only mods i have right now is a flowmaster 40 catback and i want a tune.
What are my other options? Or should i wait for x3 to become available?

Only other options are to try and find an x2 and hope it works or wait for the cooler x3 to come out.

WOW he's out of them?? I literally just got mine four weeks ago, it must have been one of the last ones...if you keep an eye out in the classified section on this site you might be able to find someone who's selling theirs. I had heard that they were discontinuing the tuner so I ordered one asap. Your other option is the superchips tuner...i have both and the SCT is better for performance, but the superchips offers speedo recalibration for tire size. You'll also get a small performance bump with superchips, but the SCT will definitely work better with other engine mods.

Sean had posted out on facebook that he was willing to buy any unwanted SCT x2's from people so he could re-flash them and sell them.

If you're on facebook, like Hemifever tuning. He (Sean) will post up when the x3s come out sooner or later.

Be ready to dish out an extra $100-$150 for the X3 though...

But of those MORE features how many of them are of any use on the ancient technology in our Rams?
