1996 dodge ram 1500 4wd 5.9l magnum idle issues
Could the fuel pump be going out? I've heard of the fuel pump going out. i thought when they go out they're out..... could this cause the misfires & stalls??? could internal fuel filter be clogged? wish this would be fixed just sick of replacing parts that r not fixing problem..... any ideas guys??
hi guys I'm with a update... I replaced PCM which was bad. But is still stalling in drive randomly.... I also replaced TPS & map & temp sensor... Still stalling no codes... Dodge has had it four times & of course they cant get it to stall... Im really at a loss throwing part at it has cost me over 2k.... I cant afford to spend anymore unless one here has anything else for me to check???? When it dies cranks in pcm are no longer getting reset to zero which told me the pcm was bad but something else is still wrong..... please help & if anyone here is colorado maybe you can help I'm completely lost with this problem. Ive just about replaced everything on the truck..... thanks john
i havent checked front o2 sensor. i did clean the throttle body did full tune up, i replaced iac sensor... guys please help ive dumped over $2500 in fixing this truck... if the stalling is fixed it will be a great truck.... this is what has been replaced pcm, coil, tps, iac, temp sensor, plus, wires, cap & rotor, map, intake resealed, saftey neutral switch, crack sensor, cam sensor, battery, pcv valve.... still stalls randomly in drive & smells like its running rich to me.... i cant really keep replacing things unless it will fix it....
this is similiar to the problem im having on my 97 dodge. in your first post you said there is a crack in the air box do you mean in the manifold or the air intake?

@John: Have you reset the PCM, so it will learn the new parts? (basically, disconnect it for five minutes or so, or, disconnect battery, turn on headlights, turn off headlights, hook battery back up.)
