Default fuel pump one or two ports?

I looked at my fuel pump and it only has one port, but most of the ones I see for sale have two ports, do I just block the one port and its fine? I am sure i have the 26 gallon tank. but I have not ran a whole tank yet, It was gettin close to empty when I first filled it and it took 22.5 gallons.

Checked fuel pressure and it takes 4 primes before getting up to starting pressure, it runs at 60 psi when running and the needle fluctuates. When I shut it off it drops down to zero in about 10 seconds.

Get a Denso part# 953302, rockauto has them pretty cheap and we get a 5% discount if you use the dodgeforum code.

Not sure on the port dilemma, but just hook it up like you normally would. If there's an extra port just block it.

Do NOT get the Airtex. ANd get a build sheet for your truck. http://www.dodge.com/wccsapp/univers...ull&category=R

And also please add all the info about your truck to your sig and profile.

^^^^^This

Denso's the known-good brand for our trucks, Nick. From what I understand, you'd end up replacing the Airtex much sooner than the Denso. 30 extra is cheap insurance IMO

The ac delco, the delphi and the denso are all good to use. And depending on which one you get, they don't have that extra rollover valve port. But as stated, you can just block it off. But use only a nipple that can withstand gasoline.

26, and 34 gal tank pumps have 2 ports. 35 gal tank pumps have one.

mines has 2 ports... one for the evap stuff, and one for the fuel feed line.

im going to be getting the delphi pump. fg0227 is the pump for the 26/34 gal tank.

my evap stuff runs from two other hoses one each at the top of each end of the tank. so it it like separate from the pump I guess. I am going to run it down to E and then carry around a 4 gallon tank to see just how much the tank holds. SO far its only 200 miles to a half tank. I am seriously doubting ti will make it even close to 400. But I want to get a baseline to see how much the new pump will make a difference.
