The **** on my 98 1500 automatic shift lever is loose. It seems that maybe the threads on the plastic **** are stripped. Since this also houses the O/D button, I'm very hesitant to take it off and use some JB Weld to re-attach it.

Any suggestions? I'm not real handy, but this seems like something that I should actually be able to do myself.
