2001 1500 looking for lift/tire advice
hi guys, im new to both the forum and the ram so i was looking for a solution to a lift and tire issue. i just bought what i believe is a stock 2001 dodge ram 1500 and i noticed that in the rear there are already blocks installed spring over axel. i was wondering if this is normal. i havent yet measured the blocks but i would say that they are between 2 and 3 inches. i havent looked at the front yet but the truck appears to have a level stance. what i was wondering is what would be the most economical way to get a little bit of lift. im looking to gain another 2-3 inches. i just want to fit maybe 33's on her. i was thinking of getting coil spacers for the front and either an add a leaf or shackle kit. i would rather not stack blocks because although i have never had an issue with it, i know how potentially dangerous it could be. if anyone has any links for good kits and advice on the subject i would greatly appreciate it.
also any tire spacing advice for such a lift would be appreciated.
oh, almost forgot; would such a procedure require extended brake lines or a drop pitman etc..(just realizing how needy this post is LOL)

Welcome to DF
After you do a search if you still have Q's post them here and people will help.
There are a few ways to lift your truck 2-3 inch's 2500 dsl coils, lift kit or coil spacers (yuk). 3" and up will require more parts than just a 2" lift so be careful on what you buy/do. The stock shocks will still work up to 3" so you are ok there, brake lines will be ok as well. I would suggest you go download a install pdf from one of the lift manufacturer and see whats all involved.
