Default A/C (still) not working after replacing condenser and charging w/ freon

I replaced my condenser this afternoon and charged the A/C with freon, but it is still not blowing cold air. It is not leaking anywhere that I can see, and I hear the compressor kick on frequently, but the air does not get cold. Any ideas or suggestions what I should check or do next? Thanks in advance....

I think after opening the system (replacing parts)
you need to pull a vacuum on it before adding freon.
Too much or too little freon will also affect the temp.
Someone else will correct me if I'm wrong.

Tim is correct. Need to completely evacuate the system before recharging.

^^+1 on the above...It cycles off and on because you're low on freon.

+3.... and how much R134a did you put in? Also needs the correct amount of PAG oil when any component of the system is replaced. AC is generally not a diy when it comes to charging the system, unless you have the right equipment and know how.

Thanks, guys. I used one bottle of R134a freon I bought at O'Reilly, mainly just hoping that was all I would have to do after replacing the condenser was spray the freon in and have cold air for $20, but I had a feeling I would probably need to take it to an A/C shop and pay the $100-$150 to have it fully serviced (evacuated then filled). So I will do that. One good thing though, I have no leaks from the lines going to the condenser, and I did before changing it, so that's good so far I guess :-)

A/C works now! (Not like I need it right now, it is 10 degrees outside lol). Got a new condenser as a bonus when the tranny was rebuilt; when they replaced the cooler, they somehow poked a hole in my condenser (yea, not sure how that happens, but it did), so they put a brand new condenser on and charged the A/C for no extra charge. So I'm ready for summer!!!!!
