Default What Transmission Pan???

Hi, I am going to Colorado next month with my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and about 5000 pounds of travel Trailer. Truck has new 360 motor, rebuilt transmission, home made CAI with K&N drop in filter, 1.7 HS roller rockers, 4:10 gears, Super Chips 3715, Alum plate under intake, After Market Trans Cooler " next week new 265/75/16 Maxxis Buckshot tires ".

I want to keep the Transmission cool going across Summertime Texas Panhandle and New Mexico plus Colorado mountain passes.

Question is I found 2 Transmission Pans at Sumitt, 1 is a 5 1/2 Quart pan and the other is a 4 Quart pan. Which one would be a good all year pan?

Do you think the 5 1/2 qt pan will ever get warm in the winter time and allow the Transmission to shift right?

Last Question: I have a gutted cat with 3" exhaust from the cat back and it dumps out in front of the rear passenger tire, with a 3" flowmaster muffler. Truck has 130000 miles and I have never changed out the o2 sensors, but I have no " check engine light or codes " should I change out the upstream o2 sensor or leave it alone?

Thanks for your time
David

Replace the pre-cat o2, denso, or NTK brand please.

NTK, buy online for best price, otherwise they are expensive as hell. unplug your old one to determine if the shape of the connector is round or square. the application guides tend to be wrong on our trucks.
