gear change

got it to work looks like i will be running 2121rpm at 60mph with 456

I wouldn't recommend any gear change with that size tire personally unless you towed on a regular basis if you went with bigger tires, then a step to 4.10s would be nice.

I have 4.10's in my truck but I'm also running 305/70/16's. For being fairly underpowered compared to newer trucks, our gen2's still hold up off the line.

I'm running 385/70 17's, a 32" tire on mine. Doing the plenum fix, and a manifold back exhaust next week. Already have a CAI, and a superchips programmer. How do you think 4.10 gears would make it perform after that? Noticeable power and mileage??

If you have stock 3.55's now, the 4.10s will be a noticeable improvement. Probably pick up a point or so on mileage as well. Not to mention your trans being happier with you.
